New Build - Grant Avenue

Set in mature grounds in the heart of the Colinton’s Conservation Area, Fastrax Solutions was appointed by Jefcoate Anderson Architects as main contractor to demolish the existing site dwelling house and build a new six-bedroom, two and a half storey family home.

Entered via a stone arched porchway, the accommodation is organised around a glazed, double height entrance hall. A curved hardwood stair with frameless glass balustrade leads up to a first-floor gallery overlooking the hall below.

In addition to the six bedrooms and living areas, the house comprises an indoor swimming pool, cinema room, library, home gym and snooker room.

The Architects preference was for a more traditional design, to blend in with the early 20th century villas within the conservation area, including white rendered walls punctuated with sandstone features, steeply pitched clay tile roofs, and feature chimneys.
